Two brothers - one passion

Dumeng and Flurin Andrist are passionate mountain hunters. They are particularly passionate about hunting chamois in the high mountains and red deer at the timberline. The origin of the CARJANI brand was that they could not find a hunting rucksack on the market that could meet their demanding needs for mountain hunting. It was clear to them that there could be no compromises when it came to their own backpack brand.

Our philosophy

Hunting demands everything from man and material. Only those who look at the past and have open eyes in the present will create something new for the future. We learn from experience and use the knowledge of new technologies to preserve traditions and set new standards.

What does the name "CARJANI" mean?

There is a simple explanation behind the mysterious name CARJANI. The children of co-founder and owner of CARJANI Dumeng Andrist are called Carla and Jan. The first three letters of both names were put together. As a passionate chamois hunter, Flurin Andrist added the "I". This gives the name a tonality similar to the name of the most famous Graubünden chamois hunter Gian Marchet "COLANI".
